For the Healing of the Nations The Information Age is just the Prelude. It enables us to make global connections – instantly and with everyone. However, we are transitioning into a new Age – of the Universal Paradigm. This is a fundamental change in our understanding of reality with consequent practical realisation of exciting new possibility. Put differently, it’s a paradigm shift – think Copernicus and Galileo; Darwin and Wegener. Then reflect on the work of Barbara McClintock and the tolerant humanism of Erasmus. It’s important to note that paradigm shifts don't occur in a vacuum. Rather, they happen because intelligent people, experiencing the world, become aware that something – something big – is profoundly wrong. They go on to express their awareness in what might be called a Spiritual Impulse. An example, on one level, is Ken Wilber and his Integral Theory while, on another, it is a general restlessness and angst felt by ordinary people. Then Science sets to work and we here acknowledge the extraordinary research of Professor Rogers Hollingsworth and colleagues. Investigating all of human history, they succeeded in identifying the three factors which are essential before a major new paradigm can come into existence. When the factors appear, the situation becomes fertile for those stalwart investigators who (rejecting the outdated, inaccurate and static assumptions about reality made by a complacent mainstream) are determined to bring about a modern and accurate understanding of reality instead. The stalwart investigators can be named as Rodney Shakespeare with colleagues Simon Mouatt and Peter Challen. In a nutshell, they have succeeded in identifying fifty nine – yes, fifty nine – false assumptions about reality which are made by mainstream economics. These false assumptions are the fundamental reason why the world today is beset by problems which seem to be insoluble. In doing their work, Rodney and colleagues tap into two important streams. The first flows from the works of Louis Kelso, Patricia Hetter Kelso and Mortimer Adler creating ESOPS (Employee Share Ownership Plans) and Binary Economics (which, over time, spreads productive capital ownership to all individuals in society). The second stream is of monetary reform which reveals how today’s money is created out of nothing by the pressing of computer buttons and, almost always, is NOT put into the real economy, its spreading and urgently-needed environmental projects. The confluence of the two streams is double the volume of either and results in a green-fringed river bordering lands in which (over perhaps fifteen to twenty five
